This happens to be a day that i wish i had my Helicopter license and could just wander on over to the coast,to just enjoy that beautiful rock. Something I've always wanted to do is Kayak behind it and see the cave. One time we were hanging out at the beach, something we did often when we lived feet from it, and we were standing near a few European tourists. I have nothing against tourists, they usually were a high source of entertainment, especially when they felt they had to carry a umbrella. We'd watch it get torn to shreds in minutes. Anyways.... we were standing near the tourists and they were staring out at Haystack, admiring the rock coloring on the north side. It was a white in an area that contrasted from the green and brown. It hadn't rained for awhile and it was actually covered with bird poop but i didn't have the heart to say it. They talked about it for quite awhile...
